Communications Connection: Improve Your Writing

Please join University Communications for a writing workshop at the next Communications Connection from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 2 in the Chancellor’s Conference Room, KL 232.

Please note: This year’s gatherings are planned for the first Wednesday of each month.

Senior public information representative Lorena Anderson will teach you how to quickly write a news-style story to help you share what’s new and exciting in your department or program with a wider audience in a way that’s accessible to everyone.

Writing program lecturer Angela Winek will present the five steps of the writing process to help you communicate with large audiences. 

Director of news and social media Scott Hernandez-Jason will offer quick tips to make your writing more engaging and compelling.

We'll have Q & A time for these topics and other general communications questions. Feel free to bring your lunch.
