UFC: Scholarship and Student Organization Awards Reception

Following a reception of appetizers and refreshments in the University House garden, Chancellor Dorothy Leland will present the University Friends Circle (UFC) Distinguished Volunteer Scholarships and the University Friends Circle Community Service Organization Award. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet the winners.

The annual business meeting will be short, primarily to elect the board for next year.

The cost for the reception is $20 for members and $25 for guests. For information about joining UFC or to RSVP to the reception, visit friendscircle.ucmerced.edu. The reservation deadline is noon today (April 27).

The UFC's mission is to inspire and maintain strong relationships between the UC Merced community and the communities of the San Joaquin Valley through activities that promote social and intellectual interaction, programs of service and fundraising initiatives that support UC Merced scholarships.
