CAMP Registration Deadline Nears

CAMP Registration Ends May 29

The Career Advancement Mentorship Program (CAMP) matches experienced staff members with colleagues who seek mentoring and professional development.

The program starts July 1 and runs through June 30, 2016. Staff members interested in becoming mentors or mentees can apply for the program online. Applications are due by noon May 29.

Professional Development Workshops

Below are the professional development courses scheduled through August:

• June 9 — Decision Making and Problem Solving
• June 17 — Cultural Diversity
• July 14 — Managing Organizational Change
• July 28 — Creating an Individual Development Plan (IDP)
• Aug. 4 — Crucial Conversations, Session 1
• Aug. 5 — Setting Performance Expectations
• Aug. 11 — Crucial Conversations, Session 2
• Aug. 12 — Conducting Performance Appraisals
• Aug. 18 — Crucial Conversations, Session 3

To register:

1. Log in to the UC Learning Center using your UC Merced Net ID.
2. Search for training by name in the search bar on the left of your screen.
3. Select the course you are interested in, click “register” to see offerings, schedule and location details.
4. Check the box next to the class that fits your needs and click “submit” to register.

New Employee Orientation, Resources

During the summer, new employee orientation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in KL 232 on the following dates:

• July 10
