Campus Police to Direct Traffic Flow During Peak Morning Hours

UC Merced is taking temporary steps to improve traffic flow and public safety through the end of the spring semester.

The UC Merced Police Department will coordinate traffic flow on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8 and 10 a.m. until May 11. As commuters near campus, they will see signs indicating traffic flagging/directing is taking place ahead.

Traffic control will occur at the intersections of:

  • Lake and Bellevue roads;
  • Lake Road and Scholars Lane; and
  • Scholars Lane and Emigrant Pass.

The UC Merced Police Department reminds people to drive carefully, be alert to the flow of traffic and follow the guidance of the officials directing traffic. Please use safe driving techniques, such as using turn signals, watching for cross traffic and avoiding distracting activities.
