Campus Purchasing Earns 2013 Procurement Award

For a third consecutive year, UC Merced's Campus Purchasing department earned an Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Purchasing Institute.

The award recognizes organizational excellence in procurement by measuring innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership attributes of the procurement function. Only 16 other higher education institutions in the United States have earned the commendation. Campus Purchasing achieved the highest possible scores in 20 out of the 25 standardized rated criteria that covered areas including procurement ethics standards, internal customer training, Internet Surplus Auction System and Environmental Performance Report.
