In Case You Missed It: Webcast on Mandatory Training
Staff and faculty members who missed this week’s webcast, “Linking Mandatory Training to Performance Appraisal, Merit Pay” can view the recording at their convenience.
During the hour-long webcast, Associate Chancellor Luanna Putney and Associate Vice Chancellor Brian Powell discussed a new mandate from the UC Office of the President that requires employees to complete mandatory trainings by their required due dates. Failure to do so will have a negative effect on performance appraisal ratings, and policy-covered staff will experience a reduction in merit pay.
A list of mandatory trainings and their anticipated deadlines are posted on the Mandatory Training website. To check the status of your assigned training, log in to the UC Learning Center using your UCMercedNetID and find your Training Analysis under the “Assess” menu.
Campus leadership will continue to use webcasts and other means to communicate with faculty and staff members on issues of importance. Recordings of previous webcasts are available online.
