Emergency Site Gets a New Look

September 10, 2013

September is National Emergency Preparedness Month, and the Department of Public Safety and University Communications have updated the campus emergency preparedness website to provide timely information for students, parents, faculty, staff and other members of the community.

When there is an emergency, updates will be posted on the emergency site as quickly as possible. The site also contains the campus's emergency operations plan, crisis communications plan, evacuation guidelines, severe weather precautions and much more. You are encouraged to visit the site regularly to become familiar with the resources available.

Emergency Notification System

If we face an emergency situation on campus, it is important that we are able to reach the campus community quickly through the UCM ALERT emergency notification system. If you enter your personal email and cell phone number into the system, depending on the emergency, you may receive text, email and/or telephone notification. Register online with your UCMNetID and select “Change Emergency Contact Information.”
