Early Timesheet Submission for December 2014

Biweekly employee timesheets for the  Dec. 7 through Dec. 20 pay period (check date Dec. 30) are due Wednesday, Dec. 17. Employees will need to estimate time worked Dec. 18 to Dec. 20.

Supervisors, please be sure to log in to the Time Reporting System (TRS) or Payroll Time Reporting to review and approve your biweekly employee timesheets by Thursday, Dec. 18

Check Distribution During Campus Closure

Employees who are not enrolled in direct deposit can pick up their paychecks at the Mondo Building (at Canal and Main streets in Merced) during the campus closure as follows:

Employees paid bi-weekly can pick up their paychecks from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30.
Employees paid monthly can pick up their paychecks from 9 to11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2.

To receive your check:

  • ​Checks to be distributed include those of Fresno Center employees and any "special handling” checks.
  • Each employee must present his or her CatCard or driver’s license.
  • All checks not picked up on the designated date and time will be forwarded to the Cashier's Office for Check Custodian pick up on Jan. 5.

2014 Form W-2 

To receive your 2014 Form W-2 electronically, enroll on At Your Service Online (AYSO) by Dec. 31. For assistance logging in, contact Payroll Services
 

Training and Resources

UC Merced Travel Systems Training 

If there’s any chance you’ll need to make reservations or request reimbursement for work-related travel or entertainment expenses, you should become familiar with UC Merced’s corresponding policies and systems to ensure timely and compliant results. Register at training.ucmerced.edu for these upcoming classes:
  • Overview of Connexxus travel reservations and the Pre-Trip Authorization (PTA) systems: 1 to 2 p.m on Dec.  11, in KL 201.
  • Overview of the Express reimbursement system: 2 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 11, in KL 201. 
Please note that completion of the online Travel Policy Training is mandatory before attending the above courses. Sign up for all courses through the UC Learning Center. 
 
Purchasing Policies Training

Learn about campus purchasing policies and procedures at a training session. Class is from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Dec. 15 in the Granite Room at the Mondo Building. This class is a required course for CatBuy Training. Register online.

FAU Training

Full Accounting Units (FAU) training is from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Granite Room at the Mondo Building. Sign up now for this prerequisite to CatBuy training.

CatBuy Training
CatBuy/BruinBuy training provides attendees a hands-on overview of how to use UC Merced’s online procurement system. The next class is from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 17 in KL 201. Sign up at the training website. Note: You must have an Oasis/BruinBuy login ID and complete the Purchasing and FAU classes before participating in this training.

CANCELED: December AO/MSO Meeting

The Administrative and Management Services Officers meeting originally scheduled for Dec. 16 has been canceled. The next meeting is from 10:45 a.m. to noon Jan. 20 in KL 232. AO/MSO meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month.

Payroll Services Fridays
