Human Resources AVC Hosts Next Brown Bag Dec. 17

November 17, 2015

Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources Brian Powell has been hosting a series of brown-bag lunches with employees, and the next one is scheduled for Dec. 17 in the Redwood conference room at the Castle Commerce Center.

The informal, one-hour sessions are from noon to 1 p.m., and the format is similar to Chancellor Dorothy Leland’s monthly brown-bag lunch. Powell will field questions and concerns related to his department.

The lunches are a good way for Human Resources to talk with employees about their professional development, enthusiasm and concerns, Powell said. The lunch meetings also provide a conduit for staff members to funnel feedback to campus administrators. The next two brown-bag events are at the campus’s downtown Merced satellite locations:

  • Jan. 14 at the Mondo Building in the Granite Room; and
  • Jan. 29 at the Fresno Center
