Medical Plan Change Deadline Approaching, Retirement Planning at UC Merced

March 5, 2014

Deadline to Make Medical Plan Change is March 31

If you were enrolled in the wrong medical plan for 2014, you still have time to talk to the Human Resources benefits office about making a change. The UC made significant changes to its medical plan offerings for 2014, and some faculty and staff members who didn’t make choices during Open Enrollment might have been defaulted to a plan they don't want. Or, maybe you learned more about one of the plans and want to change your selection.

Even if you've already used medical services in 2014, there could be an option to correct your enrollment retroactively. If you think you are enrolled in the wrong plan, contact Leticia Aldama in HR before March 31. You can reach her by email or at ext. 2348. Remember: The option to make a change applies only to medical plan benefits.
