Networking and Public Service Staff Event on March 27

March 17, 2014

Never mind Carmen San Diego. Where in the world is Rufus Bobcat?

On March 27, staff members are invited to track down the campus’s mascot while bonding with their UC Merced colleagues and helping a local domestic-violence shelter, too, during “Where in the World is Rufus Bobcat?” an event that’s part of the UC Merced Staff Assembly’s new Networking and Public Service Series.

The event is from 3:30-5 p.m. and will be held in the patio area of The Lantern on the first floor of Kolligian Library.

To participate:

  • Participants must sign up on the Staff Assembly website.
  • Each team must have at least three participants but no more than four.
  • All staff members are welcome play, but if your department or unit doesn’t have enough participants, individuals can sign up and be placed on a team.
  • The sign-up deadline is 5 p.m. Monday, March 24.
  • On the day of the event, teams must check in at 3:30 p.m. in The Lantern area to pick up their first clue.
  • The entry fee for each team is a donation of travel-size toiletries that will be given to the Valley Crisis Center, a domestic violence emergency shelter that serves Merced.
  • Prizes and refreshments will be offered at the finish line.
