Procurement Services Wins Fifth Consecutive Award

Image shows the five procurement awards UC Merced has won since 2011.UC Merced won the National Procurement Institute’s 2015 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award for the fifth year in a row.

The campus was one of 49 agencies in California and one of 22 higher education institutions in the United States and Canada to receive the institute’s procurement award. The continuously evolving criteria for the award are designed to measure best practices in the areas of innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership attributes of the procurement function. 

Controller and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Business and Financial Services Mike Riley congratulated Procurement Services, calling the win “a monumental achievement that speaks volumes to (the department’s) dedication in providing industry-leading, excellent service to the campus and the university.”
