Review Process Made Easier with New Tools, Resources

December 3, 2014

In the past few weeks, you’ve heard the UC Merced Library talking a lot about open access and eScholarship, but did you know that eScholarship includes shared manuscript and peer-review management systems?

EScholarshipa publishing platform powered by the California Digital Library, provides a suite of open access, scholarly publishing services and research tools that allow departments, research units, publishing programs and individual scholars associated with the University of California to have direct control over the creation, review and dissemination of their scholarship.

The eScholarship system provides a back-end peer review management system that enables editors and publishing program administrators to handle the mechanics of the review process by:

  • accepting online proposals and submissions;
  • tracking editorial process and maintaining version control;
  • sending automated reminder emails to reviewers and editors;
  • tracking referee correspondence and manuscript status; and
  • eliminating mail and copy costs.

Learn more about how the submission management system within eScholarship will simplify workflows for the peer editing and review process.
