IT upgrading the library wireless network
Information Technology is upgrading the wireless network in the Kolligian Library to the latest Motorola technology. The new wireless access points will provide the newest wireless technology devices with increased security and performance. Users in the east wing of Kolligian Library should have already noticed an increase in performance and a reduction in connectivity issues. The wireless upgrade in the building's west wing will be completed over the winter break. As funding is available, IT plans upgrades for the remaining campus buildings. Newly constructed buildings will have the latest technology available installed.
New look to MyUCMerced portal coming soon
IT expects to launch the new MyUCMerced portal during the winter break. The new design is more user friendly, easier to customize and provides a more personalized user experience. Other highlights of the new portal include:
- more news and information specific to UC Merced's campus community;
- a better layout of frequently used services;
- a mobile-friendly view, and much more
We hope the campus community will enjoy the new MyUCMerced and take advantage of the available resources in this new release.
