Medication Take-back Event

The UC Merced Department of Public Safety will take part in a prescription drug take-back event with local law enforcement agencies later this month. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 at the Lake Lot on campus, and at the Merced County Sheriff's Department and the Livingston Police Department. Students, staff, faculty and community members can turn in unused or expired medications for safe disposal. The program is anonymous.

Representatives from the Department of Public Safety will also be present at Merced County's Household Hazardous Waste Event at the Regional Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility in Merced, 7040 N. Highway 59. You can take your unused or unwanted prescription drugs to the site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., along with any household hazardous waste. For more details about household hazard waste disposal, visit mercedrecycles.com
