UFC: Campus Update

University Friends Circle (UFC) meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 in the California Room on campus.

Chancellor Dorothy Leland will provide a special welcome to UFC members and their guests. Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Charles Nies will talk about student life, including demographics of the newest class. Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Campus Life and Director for Center for Career and Professional Advancement Brian O’Bruba will share what is happening with UC Merced's fraternity and sorority life program and the contributions its members make on campus and in the community.

Admission is $20 for members and $25 for guests. For information on joining the UFC or to RSVP, email ufc@ucmerced.edu. Reservation deadline is noon Thursday, Sept. 29.

UFC encourages people from UC Merced and surrounding communities to join the organization. Its mission is to inspire and maintain strong relationships between the UC Merced community and the communities of the San Joaquin Valley through activities that promote social and intellectual interaction, programs of service and fundraising initiatives that support UC Merced scholarships.
