UFC Reception: Scholarship and Student Organization Award Recipients

University Friends Circle (UFC) meets for a reception from 5:30-7 p.m. May 1 at the University House.

In one of the highlights of the year, Chancellor Dorothy Leland will present the UFC Community Volunteer Leadership Scholarship and UFC Community Organization Service Award. Meet, hear from and talk with the winners. The Scholarship Committee, under the leadership of Ann Andersen and Carolene Drury, interviewed more than 12 UC Merced student volunteers and organizations. 

Appetizers and refreshments will be served in the University House garden. The annual business meeting will be short, primarily to elect the board for next year.

The UFC's mission is to inspire and maintain strong relationships between the UC Merced community and the communities of the San Joaquin Valley through activities that promote social and intellectual interaction, programs of service and fundraising initiatives that support UC Merced scholarships.
