University Friends Circle: “Climate Change and Impact on Water Resources in the San Joaquin Valley”

University Friends Circle (UFC) meets for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Branding Iron Restaurant, 640 W. 16th St., Merced.

Professor Martha Conklin, interim director of the Sierra Nevada Research Institute and faculty director of the UC Merced Natural Reserve System, will present “Climate Change and Impact on Water Resources in the San Joaquin Valley." 

Learn how the Sierra Nevada Research Institute is helping build the knowledge base around this issue and inform decision makers so they can better respond to future water-resource challenges.

The UFC's mission is to inspire and maintain strong relationships between the UC Merced community and the communities of the San Joaquin Valley through activities that promote social and intellectual interaction, programs of service and fundraising initiatives that support UC Merced scholarships.
