Vital and Alice Pellissier Family Distinguished Speaker Series

"The End of Time: The Maya Mystery of 2012," by Anthony Aveni

The Pellissier family, longtime residents of Merced County, funed this series with a generous donation to the university. The family sold the ranch on the west side of Merced where their grandparents, Vital and Alice, established themselves and decided to establish a legacy at UC Merced.

This year's Vital and Alice Pellissier Family Distinguished Speaker is Colgate University Professor Anthony Aveni, an astronomer and anthropologist. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
