Art Lecturer's Work on Display
UC Merced arts lecturer Karen LeCocq has a solo exhibition of her work "The Pond and Other Nature Works" at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center through Nov. 16. The arts center is at 645 W. Main St., Merced.
She is also exhibiting her work this month at the Koehline Museum of Art in Des Plaines, Ill. The exhibit is entitled "The Personal is Political: The Transformative Power of Women's Art."
LeCocq is a mixed-media sculptor who has shown nationally and internationally in galleries as well as major museums, including The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, The Armand Hammer Museum in Los Angeles and The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art.
