Campus Community Supports United Way During Month-Long Drive

September 24, 2014

The UC Merced United Way Campaign is underway!

Since the campaign launched Sept. 15, faculty and staff members have come up with fun and creative ideas such as bake sales, casual dress weeks and spare change collection jars to generate excitement and encourage participation in their divisions and schools.

Remember, the division or school with the highest participation rate will enjoy a free lunch catered by J&R Tacos. Status updates for the competition will be posted online so you can track your unit’s progress.

The United Way of Merced County advances the common good by partnering with local organizations that enhance and improve education, financial stability and healthy individuals. United Way identifies the most significant issues affecting our community, evaluates programs designed to address these issues and bring about positive change, and pools resources and gifts to fund programs that make the most impact.
