Celebrate Food Day with Samples, Recipes

October 9, 2013

Campus community members can get “real” about the food they eat as UC Merced celebrates Food Day on Oct. 24.

Food Day is a nationwide celebration that encourages people to consume healthy, affordable and sustainably produced food and promotes improved food policies. UC Merced’s Choose Well program and Dining Services are participating in Food Day by offering food samples and recipes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Yablokoff-Wallace Dining Center. Participants can also take the Food Day pledge to eat healthy food on that day and beyond. IPads will be available for participants to complete the online pledge. Learn more about Food Day and submit your pledge to eat real food.
