Enrolled in Wrong Medical Plan? Contact HR before March 31, 2014
December 20, 2013
Did you end up enrolled in the wrong medical plan for 2014?
UC made significant changes to its medical plan offerings for 2014, and some faculty and staff who did not make elections during Open Enrollment may have been defaulted to a plan they don't want. Or, maybe you recently learned more about one of the plans and want to change your election.
Talk to the benefits office about making a change. Depending on whether you use medical services in 2014 prior to requesting the change, there may be an option to correct your enrollment retroactively or change it prospectively.
If you think you are enrolled in the wrong plan, contact Leticia Aldama in the Benefits office as soon as possible and no later than March 31, 2014. You can reach her by email at laldama@ucmerced.edu or by phone at extension 2348.
Please note that this extension applies to medical plans ONLY and ends March 31, 2014.
