Financial Management Certification Program Applications Due Today

This is a reminder that nominations for UC Merced’s Financial Management Certification Program (FMCP) are due by 5 p.m. today (Jan. 30).

The FMCP is a comprehensive training program built on financial, compliance and administrative concepts and responsibilities introduced in the Business Officer Institute (BOI). The program consists of mandatory and elective classes of comprehensive instruction in major topic areas critical to successful financial management.

FMCP modules emphasize ethical management, good business practices and sound judgment by fostering quality risk-assessment skills.

Participation in the program requires a completed self-nomination form that includes:

  • a description of current job duties;

  • indication that your supervisor approves your self-nomination; and

  • a personal statement of career goals, including how you will benefit from the program and your commitment to completing the certification program.

Eligibility requirements and information about the self-nomination process is posted on the Financial Management Certification Program website. Decisions about admission to the program will be emailed to nominees and their supervisors by mid-February.
