Grant Writing Institute Deadline is April 3
Faculty members seeking advice or tips on grant writing for research funding have until 3 p.m. April 3 to register for the 2015 Grant Writing Institute.
The event is hosted by Research Development Services (RDS) in the Office of Research and Economic Development and runs April 13-17. Attendees will participate in workshops that offer strategies and techniques to help plan, prepare and submit winning research grant proposals. Presenters include experts in the field of grantsmanship and senior UC Merced faculty members.
The institute is open to all ladder-rank faculty members. Most sessions are geared toward faculty members at the assistant professor level, although the sessions on team science, federal agencies and grant writing in the social sciences and humanities are valuable for faculty members at all levels.
Participants are welcome to attend the entire series or choose among the different sessions. A limited number of slots might be available for graduate students, postdocs or staff members involved in preparing research proposals. Please see the agenda for the schedule.
For more information about the Grant Writing Institute or to RSVP, email Carmen Vien or go to the Research Development Services website to RSVP by April 3.
