New Time Reporting System Goes Live

UC Merced’s new Time Reporting System (TRS) went live for employees paid biweekly on Sept. 28, while employees paid monthly started using the new system as of Oct. 1. Monthly employees will need to submit their October timesheets by Nov. 5.
For more information, visit the Payroll website. For training, visit the Payroll training page or access online TRS Training for employees and supervisors at the Learning Management System (LMS) page, using the search word "Pay."
Please note: You are not transitioning to TRS if you are a staff member or student employee in the following title codes: 
  • PA-FUPOA (police)
  • KM-SETC (skilled trade)
  • Academic employees (Type 5 appointments) 
  • Faculty
  • Lecturers
  • Postdoctoral scholars
  • Graduate researchers
  • Librarians

Training and Resources

  • Check training.ucmerced.edu for updates and additions to training sessions available to staff members regarding various UC Merced procedures and systems.
  • Procurement Services meetings: Procurement Services offers purchasing procedure updates and advice, and provides an opportunity to give feedback to the university’s buyers and commodity managers.   • Weekly one-on-one payroll assistance: Every Friday, a Payroll expert is stationed in KL 201 until 5 p.m. to meet and discuss concerns without having to make a formal appointment. You may also contact the Payroll department anytime by calling 209-228- 2729 or emailing payroll@ucmerced.edu.
