New Time Reporting System to Launch in September

UC Merced transitions to a new time-keeping system at the end of September. The time reporting system (TRS) will better position our campus to efficiently meet future time keeping requirements and has many other benefits.

Information sessions and employee and supervisor trainings are offered in person and in the campus Learning Management System (LMS) before the TRS goes live. Visit payroll.ucmerced.edu for updates.

Cash-Handling Training in September

All departmental cashiers, supervisors and individuals responsible for petty cash funds are required to take cash handling training to learn about the corresponding policies and procedures. Sign up now to attend the course at any of the following times. Training courses will be held in KL 201:

  • 9-10 a.m. Sept. 3  
  • 9-10 a.m. Sept. 4 
  • 1:30-2:30 p.m. Sept. 10 
  • 3-4 p.m. Sept. 12  
  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Sept. 16
  • 9:30-10:30 a.m. Sept. 23

Campus Meetings and Assistance

  • Procurement Services offers purchasing procedure updates and advice, and provides the opportunity to give feedback to the university’s buyers and commodity managers. Join the next meeting from 1:30-3 p.m. Sept. 3 in KL 232 or via ReadyTalk. Email procurement@ucmerced.edu for more information or to submit agenda requests.
  • The AO/MSO meetings are open to anyone who wants to hear about campus updates and developments. The group's next meeting is from 10:45 a.m. to noon Sept. 16 in KL 232.
  • Payroll Fridays: Until 5 p.m. every Friday, a payroll expert is stationed in KL 201 so you can discuss your concerns without making a formal appointment. If you have payroll-related questions, you may also contact the payroll department at ext. 2729 or email payroll@ucmerced.edu.
