Nomination Period Opens for Financial Management Certification Program

January 18, 2017

Nominations are now open for UC Merced’s Financial Management Certification Program (FMCP).

The FMCP supports the professional development of business officers and promotes ethical management of financial resources throughout the campus. The program consists of mandatory and elective classes of comprehensive instruction in major topic areas critical to successful financial management. FMCP modules emphasize ethical management, good business practices and sound judgment by fostering quality risk-assessment skills.

Participation in the program requires a completed self-nomination form that includes:

  • a brief description of current job duties;
  • indication that your supervisor approves the nomination; and
  • a description of your career goals and how you will benefit from the program.

Those who are interested in participating can review the eligibility requirements and nomination process on the Financial Management Certification Program website.

To self-nominate, please complete the self-nomination form, which is due by 5 p.m. Jan. 31.

Decisions regarding admission to the program will be emailed to nominees by the second week of February.

Additional information about the program is posted on the FMCP website.
