Nominations Accepted for Staff Assembly Executive Board

Elections for the 2015-16 UC Merced Staff Assembly Executive Board are fast approaching, and nominations are now being accepted.

Board positions up for election are:

  • Vice president (three-year term)
  • Finance officer elect (two-year term)
  • Secretary
  • Communications co-chairs (two positions)
  • Programs, Events and Outreach co-chairs (two positions)

A brief summary of the duties required for each position and an overview of the election process can be found by reviewing the Staff Assembly bylaws.

To submit your self-nomination for a Staff Assembly Executive Board position, please follow this link to submit a nomination form. Nominations must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Friday, May 15.

Election process timeline:

  • Candidates are presented to membership May 19.
  • Electronic votes will be accepted May 19 through May 27.
  • Candidates are encouraged to attend the general meeting May 28 to present statements to Staff Assembly membership. Paper ballots will be accepted during the May 28 meeting. The general meeting will be held from noon to 2 p.m. May 28 in KL 232.
