School of Engineering Launches New Site

The School of Engineering’s newly designed website goes live today. The new site provides users with a cohesive viewing experience by using the same basic template as UC Merced's other academic schools. The site also provides more points of engagement for visitors — a photo slider, news section, faculty and research sections and various quick links — making for a more dynamic user experience.
Another user-focused improvement is changing the URL to engineering.ucmerced.edu, which is a more intuitive web address than the previous “eng.ucmerced.edu”.
Engineering is the final school to migrate to Drupal 7, the campus content management system. The School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts migrated to the campus CMS earlier this year, and the School of Natural Sciences migrated last summer.
