Student Success Internship Program Seeking Applications for Second Year

September 21, 2016

The Division of Student Affairs and Office of Undergraduate Education is accepting proposals for the 2016-17 Student Success Internship (SSI) program.

Launched last year and funded by the UC Office of the President, the SSI program provides undergraduate students with opportunities to gain experience and skills related to their career ambitions.

Staff and faculty members are encouraged to submit internship proposals before the Sept. 26 deadline by filling out a webform on the Student Success Internship website. Participation requires “mentor-supervisors” to commit to regular meetings with the interns and be willing to design and assess the learning outcomes of the students’ work.

During the program’s inaugural year, 30 interns worked 10 to 18 hours per week on projects and earned up to $4,000 each.

Contact Brian O’Bruba in the Center for Career and Professional Advancement for more information on designing an internship.
