UCOP Seeks Comments on Proposed Export Controls Policy

March 30, 2017

The UC Office of the President invites comments on a new Presidential Policy on Export Controls.

The proposed policy seeks to provide a systemwide framework to refine local export control compliance programs that will satisfy federal legal requirements while allowing each location the flexibility to develop its own specific requirements and practices.

Compliance with Export Controls requires cooperation and is the responsibility of various offices and individuals across the UC. The proposed policy identifies some of those offices and individuals and describes some of their responsibilities to ensure the University follows export control laws and regulations.

The Office of Campus Climate and Compliance posted the proposed policy/procedure on its website under the Draft Policies Posted for Comment section.

Please submit questions or comments to the UC Merced Office of Campus Climate and Compliance, no later than May 31, 2017, by emailing policy@ucmerced.edu.
