UCPath Now Live at Office of the President
UCPath, the University of California’s initiative to implement a single payroll, benefits, human resources and academic personnel solution for all UC employees, is now live at the UC Office of the President.
Other UC locations will follow in three subsequent deployments until the new system is fully operational at all campuses and medical centers. UC Merced, UCLA, UC Riverside and ASUCLA are next in line to transition to UCPath.
President Janet Napolitano approved the decision to go live at the Office of the President after reviewing the recommendation of the UCPath steering committee and program leadership in late October. The transition to the new system took place from late October to Nov. 29 with a successful conversion. The system went into effect at UCOP on Nov. 30, and those employees now go to ucpath.universityofcalifornia.edu for self-service pay, benefits and human resources transactions.
The teams of the UCPath PMO are thrilled to reach this significant accomplishment in the project. We’re very grateful for the partnership we’ve had with UCOP in working toward this inaugural deployment,” said Mark Cianca, UC deputy CIO and UCPath program director. “UCOP is our first location to launch UCPath, and employees can expect their UCPath experiences to evolve as we add additional functions with future deployments.”
UCPath program leadership will give an update and talk about the progress of future deployments at the January Board of Regents meeting.
