Lecture: State Treasurer John Chiang

California State Treasurer John Chiang will present a lecture, “The Central Valley, Renewing the California Dream,” at UC Merced on May 5.

Chiang’s talk, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Dr. Lakireddy Auditorium, is free and open to the public.

Voters elected Chiang in 2014 as California’s 33rd state treasurer. As the state’s banker, he oversees trillions of dollars in transactions every year. One of his top priorities is to conduct California’s business in the most transparent manner possible.
