The magazine's College Guide lists UC Merced as No. 8 in its “Best Bang for the Buck: Western Colleges” and No. 5 in the nation for social mobility.
The campus appeared in the Sierra Club's 'Cool Schools' rankings for the fourth time in five years, recognizing a commitment to sustainability that has existed since its inception.
